Household Tasks

ACSA provides essential Household Tasks services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their homes are maintained and functional. Our dedicated team assists with daily chores such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry, empowering individuals to live independently and with dignity.

A support person plays a vital role in assisting a disabled individual with household tasks and care needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Some key care activities include:

  1. Household Chores: The support person aids in tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a tidy living environment. This involves vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, and washing dishes.

  2. Meal Preparation: They plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements, ensuring the individual receives adequate nutrition. This includes chopping vegetables, cooking meals, and accommodating any special dietary restrictions.

  3. Personal Care: Assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing is crucial. This may involve helping the individual bathe, brush teeth, comb hair, and select appropriate clothing.

  4. Medication Management: Ensuring the individual takes their medications as prescribed, including organizing pills, administering them, and keeping track of refills.

  5. Mobility Assistance: Providing support with mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers, helping the individual move around the house safely.

  6. Emotional Support: Offering companionship, listening, and engaging in meaningful conversations to provide emotional support and alleviate feelings of isolation.

  7. Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in the individual's health or behavior to medical professionals or family members.

  8. Transportation: Assisting with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other essential errands.

By carrying out these care activities with empathy, patience, and respect for the individual's dignity, the support person helps enhance their quality of life and promote independence.
